DescriptionThe Euromaidan (Євромайдан, Yevromaidan "Eurosquare") was formed by continuous acts of civil disobedience by Ukrainian citizens and began on the night of November 21, 2013 in Kiev. Maidan, Nezalezhnosti is the central square located in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. Demonstrations and civil unrest were the means used to call for the resignation of the president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich and closer European integration. The goal of the protests held in Maidan was to remove President Viktor Yanukovch from office and dismantle his corrupt government. "Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych (born July 9, 1950), Yenakiyeve, Ukraine, U.S.S.R. [now in Ukraine]), Ukrainian politician who served as prime minister (2002–05, 2006–07) and president (2010–14) of Ukraine. " -- Britannica Academic Edition. This sticker features a crowd of protesters with a message urging Ukrainians to come and demonstrate peacefully for a new government. "Mission: Ensuring the aspiration of Ukrainian citizens to a decent life and personal development through public and political activities."-- Democratic Alliance (Ukraine) website.
