DescriptionСпільна справа (Common Cause) is a civic movement that was formed in early 2014 and led by lawyer and civil rights activist, Oleksandr Danylyuk. This opposition group denounced the corrupt government of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych by occupying several important government offices in Kiev. This series of events is referred to as Euruomaidan. The Euromaidan (Євромайдан, Yevromaidan "Eurosquare") was formed through continuous acts of civil disobedience by Ukrainian citizens and began on the night of November 21, 2013 in Kiev. Maidan, Nezalezhnosti is the central square located in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. Demonstrations and civil unrest were the means used to call for the resignation of Viktor Yanukovich and closer European integration. "Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych (born July 9, 1950), Yenakiyeve, Ukraine, U.S.S.R. [now in Ukraine]), Ukrainian politician who served as prime minister (2002–05, 2006–07) and president (2010–14) of Ukraine. " -- Britannica Academic Edition. The message of this sticker refers to the fact that Ukrainian citizens are not protesting "for the money" but rather that they are concerned with making Ukraine into a democratic and ethical society without a corrupt government. The clasping hands logo of Common Cause is portrayed.
